GAS OPERATOR JOB OPENING
BAY SPRINGS, MISSISSIPPI
The City of Bay Springs is currently taking applications for a full time Natural Gas Operator.
A valid Driver’s License is required.
Normal operating days and hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and being available for call out work (nights, weekends and holidays) when needed.
Job duties include: Natural Gas Distribution knowledge and experience in gas measurement, gas meter and regulator sizing, cathodic protection, gas odorization, leak investigation, repair and general maintenance of a natural gas distribution system. Must have ability to schedule work and document all necessary paperwork associated with the system.
Must be OQ111 B31Q qualified, or the ability to become qualified from six (6) months of hire date.
Successful completion of a probationary period will be required to attain regular employment, after which time the applicant will be eligible for group medical, dental and life insurance, participation in a state retirement plan, and a tax-deferred savings plan. The pay scale is set by the Board of Aldermen and will be commensurate with ability.
