Full job description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Class D Certificate and a minimum of one year experience in water treatment operations and water sample taking. This role is essential for compliance of MSDH regulations.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of Class D water treatment system equipment.
- Operate company trucks safely and efficiently for transportation to various well sites for operations and with proper license, delivery of chemicals used in the treatment process.
- Monitor water quality with residual chlorine and phosphate testing and record data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain booster pumps, piping and treatment systems as needed, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
- Perform mechanical repairs on equipment used in water treatment processes.
- Collect water sample for testing by Regulatory Agencies as required.
- Engage in some heavy lifting as required for occasional changing cylinders and moving drums and maintenance tasks.
- Report to supervisor any problems or issues regarding the safe operation of the systems.
Experience
- Proven experience in water treatment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plumbing/piping and treatment equipment operation is a plus.
- Experience in routine water sampling is crucial.
- A commitment to safety practices, including safe driving is crucial.
- Strong character, honesty and reliability is crucial.
